Lacus Draco
Dragon of the Lake
The Lacus Draco is the dragon of the lake. Contrary to popular belif, the Lacus is a true dragon, and not a serpent. They spend most of their time on the waters edge wading, catching small invertabrate prey with their long snouts.
Anatomy:
The Lacus dragon is of a blueish purple colour, however their sclaes can look almost irrideciant if caught in the cooredt light. They catagorize as small to medium dragons, reahing around 8 - 11 ft, with a wingspan avarage of 13ft. Their claws are webbed, as this helps them in their aqueous lifestyles. Their long necks allows them to keep their heads above water, allowing them to wade into deep water.

Behavour:
The Lacus hardly ever swims, simply wadding about. This said, they are compleatly at home on land as well, and are known to make migrations from one lake system to another, wether this be through flying or travling across land.
They can usually be found in small groups of around 5 - 8. They are highly socialble beings, and can often be heard communicating to one another.
Durring night the Lacus sleep in underwater caverns, or in caves behind waterfalls.

Interactions with Gians:
Lucus are notoriusly shy, and so are difficult to gain the trust of, however their actions benift the Gians through them filtrating the water systems, allowing for pure drinking water.

Diet:
The Lactus feed on small invertabrates in the mud and sand around the water systems and on the lake beds. They use their pointed snouts to pick out the invertabrates, and have evolved with their horns forming small protrusions on their lower jaw, that digs up the mud, reveling the invertabrates.
