Laws:
The IPGB creates all the laws for the solar system, and they are enforced by the ACR. The governments of individual planets may set their own laws specifically to the planet, as long as they don't contradict the interplanetary laws.
The Gian Peace Treaty: The Gian Peace Treaty ensures that the Gian colonies can act independently, rather than one group being in charge of Gia. It also restricts the use of weapons to a minimum and makes Gia a protected planet. Anyone can go there, without interference from the other planets, and the Gian colonies decide whether they can stay. Giving the Gian colonies some control allows them to prevent wanted criminals from hiding there and it gives them the power to remove trouble makers.
The Wartime Regulations Act: While the IPGB would like to forbid war all together, it's unlikely that such a law could be enforced. This is why we have the Wartime Regulations Act, which sets out rules for what planets in wartime are permitted to do. If a planet is in wartime then all interactions with planets in peacetime are limited to a minimum, and the representative the planets IPGB representative is immediately called to Gia to begin negotiations for peace. The war is not held on planets in the Alpha Centauri solar system, and is instead held on planets outside of the solar system on other colonised planets. This is to prevent any more planets being desolated, like the third planet of the Ginger Nexus was.
In the Name of Science Act: The 'in the name of science act' lays out basic rights for all species- such as no inhumane actions towards others. The science part comes in (especially where the SRC are concerned) as if the possible inhumane actions were for the progression in science, then with a permit from the IPGB possible inhumane actions can occur, but only in the name of science.
Another 'in the name of science act' is that special sites of scientific interest (SSS I's) must not be destroyed. This is because they contain certain species or habitats that are rare throughout the universe. Antarticum and Hazatron are examples of SSS I's and anyone who destroys these habitats will be sentenced to live on Morallus (with out breathing apparatus).
The Destroying and Invading Act: This act lays out the terms of not destroying planets in any way- as this is punishable by a sentence to life on Morallus. Ironically destroying a planet- burning the Ginger Nexus or melting Antarticum, is an even bigger crime, punishable by public humiliation and then execution.
The invading part of the act highlights that no one can invade and takeover protected planets- Gia and Hazatron. If anybody invades any protected planet, sanctions will be placed against their planet and they, along with the rest of the planet, will be exiled on their home planet for 5 years.

- No planet shall interfere in another nations' trade, unless under interplanetary agreements.
