Psycholorians
Psycholorians are ruthless, violent and pale faced humanoids that are usually the first suspects of crimes across the Solar System. The men and women are scum taking up professions such as hitmen, prostitutes, mercenaries, pirates and thieving. Known as the Purple Tide, Psycholorians are unhinged, taking pills daily to keep their sanity for they know if they do not, there will be no stopping their actions. Dare you dip your toes in the deadly waters of the Purple Tide?
Appearance
A Psycholorian is a humanoid race with a haunting but strangely attractive appearance. The chemicals in the atmosphere left behind by previous owners of the planet known as the Ancient Kira get into the skin and within a few days, outer and inner appearance has altered dramatically, and you are deemed Psycholorian. This is only the can be thwarted by injections for visiting humans that last up to seven days and other races are not affected by the chemical makeup. A traditional Psycholorian is tall, gaunt and pale. The iris of the eyes is a dark red and their hair is a range of colours from the darkest black to the brightest Pink. Psycholorians come in all shapes a size, male and female, fat and thin, and could easily pass as human if only they wore contacts. |
Personality
A Psycholorian born on Psycholoria has evolved to have the chemicals in their system before they breathe their first lungful. Babies born are put in tanks for up to three days to avoid the lungs from exploding from the sudden leap in the chemicals, but they are ever present. All the tanks do is allow for their lungs to cope. This chemical makeup in the body means that many Psycholorians are wired differently from Human beings which is just one of the differences between the two races. The chemicals create a constant state of insanity, something Ancient Kira used to drive their bloodthirst against the Guardians in the Kira and Guardian war. This insanity, since the first Psycholorians were made on the planet, is treatable but with a dose of pills every day in the morning and evening. Many Psycholorians are taught this routine from the outset and this keeps them stable in personality. In general, Psycholorians are practically human as this is what they originally evolved from. They can be kind and gentle but also vicious and brutal. They can be outstanding citizens in their own right or criminals that threaten to tear the very fabric of law. There is no one standardised Psycholorian example but there is a single thing they all have in common which makes them a less dangerous force. Many Psycholorians can work together but they do not always do it well meaning they could never really work together on a planetary basis without breaking apart at some point. As is suggested in the book ‘Purple Tide’ by Antarticoneium Sir Alf Sigmund “Psycholorians could do serious damage, even potentially managing to thwart Prime fleets if only they could learn to work together on a regular basis.” Sir Alf Sigmund came to realise that “Criminals can work together one moment to escape from law enforcement and gun each other down the next.” The book ‘Purple Tide’ gave the Psycholorians their harrowing name that is known well by the Ginger Nexians. |

History
The history of Psycholoria is very short as it has not been around for as long as some of the other planets in the Solar System, name PS-12 before the first humans were dropped there by Primes for an experiment.
The first Psycholorians on PS-12 were British Prisoners that were originally to be transferred to Australia between 1799 and 1868. Human history records 164,000 prisoners arrived in the Australian colonies between these years. The last ever ship was named the Hougoumont and carried 280 convicts after departing on the 12th October 1867. The ship was indeed recorded to arrive on 9th January 1868 with its 279 and 108 passengers after the 89-day trip but, in reality, it arrived with only the 108 passengers and a single convict’s corpse. It was around this day that the first instance of the GEA was set up to keep the secret of aliens visiting to take convicts. William Cozens, the ships captain, wrote a report on the 12th January 1868 which is stored in GEA archives to this day:
We were sailing across the ocean on the 17th December when I first saw the bright light approaching in the sky. I at first thought it was simply a shooting star crossing the black night but then I saw a flash of red and green mixed in with pale white. I sent some of the crew to gather the weapons we kept in the hold and together we all stood on the bridge and watched the light move closer. It was huge, made of metal. It began to float nearby the boat but not on water, in the air. I ordered the men to open fire on such witchcraft when the door to the vessel opened and a large monstrosity climbed out. It was huge, bird like but with rock hard feathers that served as a sort of exo skelington or armour. It was encased in some sort armour that made our shots bounce back at us. The creature seemed entirely unmoved by our efforts to kill it, so I ordered the men to cease fire. The creature spoke our language in a low, rough tone and told us that it meant no harm. I kept my guard of course but asked what it wanted, lowering my weapon. It told us that it wanted the convicts we had in the lower decks to do ‘tests’ on back home. Now, the convicts had been somewhat of a pain for the days we had been transporting them and we were still nowhere near Australia, so I agreed to the terms and the creature rewarded us handsomely for it in gold. He took the convicts who struggled at first onto the ship. One convict was killed by the creature and its allies and we kept his body in the hold for the rest of the journey, so the burn of the weapon fired could be examined. Of course, by the time we arrived in port the body had rotted, and the charred bones were the only useful thing that remained.
William Cozens, 12th January 1868
In the modern day it is a well-known fact among the GEA that the Convicts were taken to Psycholoria where they were introduced to PS-12 and tested for their response to the atmosphere of the planet by the primes. Female humans were also introduced to the masses on the planet using Eggs collected from Earth women, combined with the Convict sperm. The babies created from the eggs were accelerated into the correct age then thrown in among the convicts. Before long, the convicts were affected badly by the chemicals and ran rampant around the old city that belonged to the Kira, stumbling across ancient weaponry they used three years after their first arrival to thwart the Prime presence on the planet.
There was much controversy about what to do with Psycholoria but the Primes, refusing to accept the blame for the species they had created, refused to terminate. By terminating the species, it would be accepting blame and they would surely be ridiculed across the Solar System. Beyond that, PS-12 became a recorded planet containing a species and that species also became recorded as Psycholorians. It was the Antarticoneium scientist Durbus Flex who introduced the first strain of pill that made the new species a species worth having. It reverted them back to their original status before the chemicals infected their brains and they were human minded once again. They however could no longer be considered Humans as Flex also discovered many a difference between the anatomy of a human and a Psycholorian. One difference was the lung capacity. Those dropped on the planet had been old enough to cope with the pain of expanding lungs, but babies were born with human lungs. This to the modern day has never changed and is why they are placed in tanks to speed up the expansion process without pain. After three days the babies are returned to the mother and allowed to live a regular Psycholorian life.

Government
The government of Psycholoria is tricky to pin down as there is no stable government as such. The government was founded by Objax Graves, first Psycholorian leader. He attended regular IPGB meetings and voiced the opinion of his cabinet and people to the rest of the leaders around the Solar System. Fifty-seven years into his reign, Objax Graves was assassinated by a newly surfaced assassination organisation known as Grey Matter Incorporated. Amy Graves, the sister of Objax Graves, took over shortly after and from that moment on the stabilisation of the government began to shake.
It is known to those in the underground of Psycholoria that there are several leading houses/factions of the Psycholorian city known as Hollow. These are:
· The House of Grey- Mortuum Grey and Family (Depends on the Mortuum Grey Timeline).
· The House of Vile- Jasper and Lisa Vile (Married)
· The House of Saw- Giles and Fiona Saw (Brother and Sister).
· The House of Vain- Alaska Vain (Single)
· The House of Tart- Elizabeth and Ellie Tart (Sisters).
· The House of Kings- Arthur and Louise King (Married)
· The House of Nova- Casper and Harold Nova (Married).
· The House of Hope- Sinister and Gerald Hope (Father and son.)
These houses/factions run several sectors of the Hollow City and also the government from their seats around the table of Houses, located in Harpy’s Hollow (Bar). Amy Graves now takes the opinion of her cabinet, advisors, the people and the underworld to the IPGB meetings to further all fronts of Psycholorian society. The government is therefore considered corrupt but is not exempt from IPBG meetings.

Religion and Culture
Religion and Culture is important to the shaping of Psycholorian Society. The Psycholorians believe in a multitude of gods, not just one like Humans. These gods are several of the originals from Earth who have died but are suggested to be the first in ‘The Beyond’. ‘The Beyond’ is a mirror world that mirrors Psycholoria depending on what you have done with your life. Those who are accepted into the equivalent of heaven go to the Second Plain. Those who are not accepted, go to the nega-plain, a black and white mirror of Psycholoria where there is unrest and horrors around every corner. Two gods lead the plains and they each have two other followers to help them.
The Second Plain is headed by Deus and his followers Tonitrua and Fulgur. The second Plain is colourful and is the place that all Psycholorians hope to go one day as it is suggested that the Plain is built around your hopes and dreams as you want it to be. This means that they live in their own reality among people they know and people they do not know. In short, the Second Plain is a realistic dream in which you can be whatever you want to be.
The nega-plain is a black and white plain headed by Mors and followed by Caput and Ossium. The nega-plain is the nightmare plain where the mirror world is shaped around your worst nightmares to keep you in a ruined state for the rest of eternity. It is said that someone in the nega-plain can still find redemption if they come to fully accept their fate. Beyond that, the world becomes empty apart from those who have also found redemption. No more monsters and no more nightmares, only loneliness.
Religion is a shaky aspect of the Psycholorian existence and there are only some things that will land a person in the nega-plain. These are not yet fully discovered as many cannot come back to life to tell others the mistake they made that landed them in the plain in the first place.
Culture of Psycholorians is simple and can be summed up in a single comment that many Psycholorians will recite when arrested:

Culture of Psycholorians is simple and can be summed up in a single comment that many Psycholorians will recite when arrested:
“I can do what I want, when I want, where I want to who I want.”
This is a simple summary of culture. Psycholorians believe that they are entitled to do what they want without reasoning, when they want without being stopped, where they want without a right to be there and to whoever they feel like. Of course, this leads to many issues with the law, but it is also well known that another Psycholorian will have the same thought process. For example, sex dens and intercourse are common, but anything forced will be responded to with violence as the other Psycholorian feels like they are not entitled to do whatever they want to the person forcing themselves upon them. Psycholorians also have a conscience however and this is what makes them a functioning society. If they want to do something, they can, but it may conflict with their morals and their conscience.
In Psycholorian culture, sex is more of a common act rather than a sacred act unless married as cheating can be considered as something that would end you in the nega-plain. It doesn’t stop people from doing it, but it is a frowned upon thing in society. When married, sex changes from casual to sacred and should only be with a single person for the rest of the persons life.
In Psycholorian culture, women and men are equals unlike on modern Earth and other planets. This leads to many dysfunctional relations with those who do not have the same views such as Earthlings.
In Psycholorian culture weapons are also a right. A Psycholorian has right to carry a weapon as weapons are useful tools in defence but are also handed down over the years. For example, a Psycholorian with a first-generation pistol may give it to their son, who gives it to his daughter, who gives it to her brother, who gives it to his wife who then gives it to her next child when she is born. Psycholorians consider weapons as part of their history because they have many a story to tell. If a law enforcement officer tries to take the weapon from them, it is not unheard of for the Psycholorian to lash out or throw the weapon in the nearest bin/river. This way the weapon can later be recovered and continue to be handed down. If it was given to a law enforcement officer, it would be kept in an evidence locker for the rest of eternity.
In Psycholorian culture, technology is important because technology is also very scarce on the planet after the blast. The blast, brought about by Primes during their evacuation of the planet, rendered the entire planet incapable of running technology run by electricity, an EMP to destroy all the evidence and documents stored on Prime computers. Beyond this, Psycholoria developed a field that could thwart this allowing for technology to be run but only within the walls of Hollow. Any technology found in the areas around Hollow is transported to Hollow and rewarded handsomely.

Weapons in Depth
Punk Rifle V1
This is the original form of the Punk Rifle used by original Psycholorian troopers during the first Psycholorian and Ginger Nexian war. These weapons were loaded then hand cranked by a handle off the side of the rifle. This allowed the user a single powered shot like a human musket before needing to reload by cranking the handle again. The rifles were unreliable and the bullets tended to fall short of their marks or the handles would jam. Damage was the only real pro about the V1s as they were as powerful as a human shotgun, punching holes through metal if they fired.
Punk Rifle V2
This is the second generation used in the rest of the wars and the civil wars. These rifles went from being crank powered to battery powered. It would take a maximum of an hour to charge up a battery and a few seconds to load it into the rifle. This provided more shots, accuracy and distance with the downside of less power. These batteries, although more reliable than the crank handles still had their flaws. The batteries when being charged had a tendency to cut off at points meaning the batteries were not fully charged, meaning they would run out quicker in the battlefield. Luckily the V2Ss' were equipped with ejectors for the batteries. The V2 and the V2S were a lot louder than the hand cranked rifles and tend to give out an electric bang every shot. The Punk Rifle V2 went from being single shot to automatic AND bolt action at the same time for increased firing rate and increased accuracy.

Punk Rifle V3
Wielded by: Mortuum Grey
These rifles are the third version of the original V1. Since the blackout, these rifles went from being electrically powered for a little more of a kick, to pressured weapons. The battery core of the V2 has been replaced with an oil canister core that needs to be refilled instead of being recharged like the V2 which had batteries. When the V3 fires, there is a burst of steam and a bang as the bullet is thrust miles across the battlefield. The V3 maintained the bolt action and automatic fire.

Rursus Pistol
These smaller hand cranked pistol fires up to a single shot every time. The ammunition, much like a human flintlock, is a small metallic ball that, like with the V1, can tear through the metal. These balls are put into the gun, the handle is cranked to lock it in place and the gunpowder filtered through the top is locked a little behind the shot. When the trigger is pulled, the gunpowder is lit and the crank unwinds, throwing open the shutter and in the end releasing the bullet. Altillium Pistol In the era of electricity, Altillium pistols took over the market and the Rursus pistol become nothing but an antique. The Rursus pistol had one major fault and that was the shutter didn't always open up quick enough meaning it was blown apart when the gun was fired. When the shutter was destroyed, there was nothing to lock the shot in place. The gun was rendered useless. The Altillium pistol meant a clip could be loaded and the electricity would propel the bullets. The gun was quick to fire, automatic and plentiful but the accuracy was off at a longer distance. Vapor Pistol Some would argue that the Vapor Pistol was a major setback. The Altillium was able to hold up to 25 bullets in a clip whereas the Vapor Pistol can only hold one shot in each of the four barrels of the pistol. This alteration however increased the power, accuracy, range and overall performance. Reload speed, when the user has practiced significantly, is increased. The Vapour pistol is reloaded by slipping four bullets into the gun, one in each barrel, before pulling back the thumb. This will lock all the bullets in place and set the first one up to fire. When the thumb is pulled back, the oil canister releases oil into a chamber and heats it quickly. This takes no time at all and the bullet is ready to fire the second the thumb clicks into place. When the trigger is pulled, the steam canister is released and the bullet is propelled out of the barrel. |

Gayudette (Shotgun) V1
The Gayudette V1 was designed on the frontlines of the first Psycholorian war. It is a Ginger Nexian Shotgun, taken apart and put back together again with a pump. When the Gayudette pump is pulled back, a shell is loaded, the crank handle is turned and the trigger is pulled. The Gayudette was only used three times in the war as it was unreliable. Three Ginger Nexian Shotguns were retrieved and three Gayudette shotguns were designed. They never surpassed the first few shots as the pressure in the main barrel was too much and the ends exploded. Gayudette (Shotgun) V2 The second Versions of the Gayudette's were designed in proper factories. They were also changed so they ran off electricity only instead of a hand crank. The battery would be inserted and you could get a few billion pumps out of it before it ran flat. The best thing about the V2 Gayudette was the battery restrictions. When the pump was pulled back, the battery was activated providing enough power to propel the shell and it's contents. When the pump was pushed forward again, the battery was shut down until the next pump. This conserved battery unlike the V2 Punk Rifles that were always active whether you were firing or not. The V2S Punk Rifles fixed this problem and ran off the same system as the Gayudette. This was when the Gayudette became a bottom attachment for the Punk Rifle V2S alongside the flame thrower attachment. The Gayudette was never made again and therefore faded out in the time of Steam. |
Spatial Rifle First Edition (FE)
The Spatial Rifle FE (SRFE) was a specially designed sniper. Most Punk Rifles are bolt action AND Automatic so demand for sniper rifles is not high at all. Not until the Spatial Rifle FE was designed a little after the war when batteries were introduced. The Spatial Rifle FE doubled the range and accuracy in comparison to the Punk Rifle V1s and V2s of the time. The bullet, projected across the battlefield would still maintain damage too over this distance meaning it could hit anything and keep going until it reached it's maximum range. The FE, because of this distance and damage, was looked at in different ways depending on who you were. If you were an assassin, the FE was not for you because it had a tendency to blow through the target and hit others on the other side, increasing the collateral, raising the heat and lowering the pay. If you were a soldier however, faced with lines of enemies or a large wall with hostiles on the other side, the rifle was for you. It played a devastating role in the Civil War and was the death of many top commanders on both sides of the battle. Post war, the FE became obsolete and so, the SE took the spotlight.
Spatial Rifle Second Edition (SE)
The Spatial Rifle SE became popular post civil war because of several reasons. The damage had been toned down meaning that it would now stop when it impacted certain obstacles unlike the Spatial FE and it came with several scopes that were hand crafted attachments for the Spatial SE exclusively. When the Spatial SE was used for the first time it lit up the news. The first ever Spatial SE shot had managed to dodge through several buildings, several windows, and several wall panels before finally settling in the head of the target. The Spatial SE was designed to never falter from the selected shot down scope.

Trench Tops were shovels, used in the Psycholorian Ginger Nexian Wars, with Knives built into the handles. Trench Tops played a big part in Trench warfare because they were used to dig the trenches and defend them if they were invaded by attacking Ginger Nexians. Trench Tops were eventually banned on the front lines because of their horrific damage to enemies. Trench Tops were not well designed and did not have a groove to allow air to flow meaning they would get jammed in the enemy. They were banned because the Generals ordered units to stomp on the sturdy handle protruding out of the shovel to jam it in further, breaking the bone, allowing for the Trench Top to be torn out.
Trench Tops (Advanced)
The Advanced Trench Tops were introduced near the end of the war when Psycholorians had reached their breaking point. A large garrison of soldiers from the frontlines had exhausted their ammunition only had the old Trench Tops available. With a large Ginger Nexian attack on the horizon they had to act fast. They pulled out the old Trench Tops and began using the blades to carve grooves into the others. Before long, the advanced/makeshift Trench Tops were available as a last resort weapon. It served them well but they were defeated and the advanced Trench Tops never made the news until the last few days of the war.
Trench Tops (Memorial Boot Implant)
It has become tradition now that every newborn be provided with a Trench Top boot implant. The Implants are to commiserate everyone who died in the war and to remind everyone of the freedom they provided Psycholoria with. The boot implants can be inserted by every Cobbler and can be ejected when thrust out wards in a kick motion, seconds after the heels are smacked together. This is to represent the stomping motion of the old Trench Tops.

Bourbon Blade
The Bourbon Blade is a blade that can fold in half to allow for easier travel. It attaches to the belt of a Psycholorian and can be pulled free and opened quickly and easily. The Blade itself is sharp and can cut through bone with enough force behind the swing. The blade NEVER blunts.
