Ventus Draco
Dargon of the Wind
The Ventus Draco is the Dragon of the wind. They evolved from a form of true dragon, however over many years have lost the ability of using their legs. Over time these leg limbs reduced in size, and although still present, are usless for support if on the ground. The Ventus stay as airborn dragons all their lives. Because of this some people may argue that they are not true dragons, and fall into the catagory of the Amphithere.
Anatomy:
The Veutus dragon varies in size, with the biggest ever being recorded at 25ft long. They have tremendusly large wingspans, but are supprisingly light beasts. They have long necks and tails, making up the majority of its lenght. They have reduced weight by reducing the size of dome on their organs, with their stomach all but gone, and thus the whole digestive system reduced in size.
Their legs and feet are now all but uselss, however they have not developed the mucles to be able to hold their bodies on the ground, and so spend their entire lives on the air.

Interaction with Gians:
Ventus are mostly out of reach from Gians, however tales have been told of one woman who found an injured Ventus, nursed it back to health, developed its leg mucles so it was able to stand on the ground and has it trained as a mount used for transport. It has also been suggested that the Ventus help with the movement of herds of animals farmed by the Gians, by sheparding from the air.

Diet:
Due to the Ventus being air bound they have developed a way to gain nutriance from the air. They use gill like organs to respire, and for the intake of nutriance, thus reducing the need for a large digestive system. Simalar to that of the lungs, an organ had been developed altering the digestive system, allowing for nurtiance in the atomosphere to be taken in by the Ventus. The digestive system is still in use however as the Ventus can often be seen eating insects, and other flying invertebrate.
